Local Housing Regimes in T\u00fcbingen, Frankfurt am Main und Dresden\u201c. Prior, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at the University of T\u00fcbingen. She studied Geography at the Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin, the Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogot\u00e1.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research focus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Johanna Betz conducts research on housing and public infrastructure from a political-economic and semiotic-discursive perspective and deals with the transformation of statehood. In her dissertation, she examined housing policy power relations as well as blockade and innovation dynamics at the municipal level in the interaction between the housing industry, politics, administration, and civil society. She also examined the (lack of) influence of tenants with different experiences of marginalization on housing policy negotiation processes.
