Since 2024, Christian Molter has been a research associate at the Institute of Urban Planning and Design – Planning Theory and Practice at the University of Stuttgart, where he works with Prof. Laura Calbet. He has been pursuing his doctoral research since 2025, supported by a doctoral scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation since 2026.
From 2024 to 2025, he contributed to the teaching and research project “Fachlicher Nachwuchs entwirft Zukunft (FNEZ) – Die bodenlose Stadt”, part of the Nationale Stadtentwicklungspolitik initiative.
From 2017 to 2020, Christian Molter studied Architecture at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, followed by a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart from 2021 to 2024.

Current Projects
“Demolition and Reconstruction Activities in Public-Interest Housing” The doctoral research project examines the broader economic rationales underlying demolition and reconstruction, the extent to which processes of financialization in the public-interest housing sector influence the decision-making of housing providers, and how developments in land values contribute to the economization of public-interest housing.
Teaching and Research Project “Fachlicher Nachwuchs entwirft Zukunft (FNEZ) – Die bodenlose Stadt”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building through the Nationale Stadtentwicklungspolitik initiative (10/2024–12/2025).
