Recent projects
The research project “Living in Listed Housing Estates” contributes to a fundamental understanding of the protection and use of listed housing estates of the 20th century, which require continuous negotiations between different stakeholders, including negotiations about heritage values, about possible building changes, and about conflicting interests and concerns. The research project aims to contribute to a fundamental understanding of these processes in order to ensure sustainable long-term management of these listed housing estates. Linked to the research project is a PhD project in the context of the conservation of large housing estates in eastern Germany and the associated challenges and consequences for urban development.
