Qualification concept and Study program

The Research Training Group provides a structured supervision, study, and qualification program for the specific interests and needs of each fellow. The program strengthens PhD candidates’ knowledge of research-relevant theories and methods of interdisciplinary housing research and provides interdisciplinary offers.

A lecture series with an associated seminar program takes place alternately at both locations of the Research Training Group. Colloquia, workshops, excursions, and international conferences promote interdisciplinary exchange and establish connections with international players in housing research. The fellows receive support in implementing research trips, study visits, targeted extracurricular workshops, and additional offers.

With courses on essential qualifications for scientific work and needs-oriented support measures for equality, equal opportunities, and diversity, the Research Training Group offers ideal conditions for realizing a doctoral project. The PhD candidates are continuously and individually supervised by an interdisciplinary faculty within both locations and, in some cases, by additional supervisory teams.

The Research Training Group is committed to the DFG standards of good scientific practice and guidelines for equal opportunities.
